The conclusion of the first forum for “promoting housing, property and land rights” in Qamishlo

PEL Organization concluded the work of the first forum for the promotion of housing, property and land rights in the cities of Afrin, Tel Abyad and Ras Al-Ain-Sere Kaniye, on Saturday the 15th of October, which was held in Zana Hall, Qamishlo city.
The activities of the forum included a discussion of the role of the Autonomous Administration, civil society organizations, local associations and the media in promoting housing, property and land rights in three occupied cities, with the participation of representatives of institutions in the Autonomous Administration, civil society organizations, lawyers, jurists, civil activists, media professionals, and community and civil actors.
The first annual forum for the promotion of housing, property and land rights came as part of the activities of “Kani” project, which seeks to support and advocate for the displaced, and to promote housing, land and property rights (HLP), by launching activities that shed light on the suffering of the displaced, with regard to the confiscation of their real estate and property by he factions supported by the occupying power.
