PEL Organization – Raqqa
“PEL” organized a session entitled “Human Rights / Democracy”, as part of the activities of the civic education sessions in the context of “Hiwa” project, in its center in the city of Raqqa.
Representatives of the Youth and Sports Committee, the Court of Raqqa, workers in civil society organizations, and civil activists participated in the session, in addition to volunteers in PEL Organization.
The session included a definition of human rights and its characteristics, international legitimacy of human rights, its relationship to democracy, and the principles of promoting democracy.
“Hiwa” project aims to support women’s participation in the decision-making and peace-building process, and to enhance social cohesion in Raqqa city.
