PEL organizes a Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Hasakah

PEL organized a Christmas ceremony by lighting the Christmas tree in Hasakah city, on Thursday, December 22, in cooperation with the Progressive Syriac Youth Union and “Dan for Relief and Development” organizations, Peace and Civil Society Center, Mary for Development, Doz, Khabur Association, Bukra Ahla Association for Relief and Development.

The celebration began with reciting poems, followed by theatrical performances, in which “Shiko Biko Band, Darcy Band, and the Children’s Band of Rangin Center for People of Determination” participated.

It also organized entertainment competitions for children, cultural competitions, and distribution of gifts for children, in addition to folklore dances from the region’s heritage.

PEL honored the children of Dr. Barzan’s Center for Pronunciation and conversation Rehabilitation, and the children of Rangin Center for People of Determination, and the ceremony concluded with lighting the Christmas tree by the participants.

It is worth noting that the Christmas tree lighting ceremony comes as a continuation of the activities of Aylona initiative, as part of the activities of Khabur Project, which seeks to support stability in Hasakah.
